Thanks. When on my computer, I do use chrome, but I never bothered to download any vidcap software. Most sites had seemed to allow the "right click - save as…" method, and any that I came across that this wasn't the case, were almost always then compatible with streamcap sites (like savefromnet, videograbber, videograbby). Therefore, it has actually been somewhat rare to come across uploads that these options would not cover; and thankfully, when those options didn't work, there were often anons kind enough to place smaller files in zippy, and larger files in mega.
Anyway, I do appreciate the information about Downloadhelper (I will look into that, the next time I'm off work). In the meantime, if I can ask one other question, in regards to downloading from such a site as vidme; is there a way to dl it from your phone (android) without utilizing an app? If not, I'll just do as you suggested (look at dlhelper), but it seems like every month for the past couple of years, my work schedule has added a couple of more hours each week, so I am increasingly checking in on sites like here, and downloading from my phone (during down-times on the job). If there are any other anons that are also downloading (almost) primarily from a smartphone, I'd appreciate any tips/hints/advice you may have learned (especially involving sites hosting a video of interest that the typical methods of press & hold the touchscreen until the "download video" prompt appears; or copying and pasting the video url at sites such as savefrom.net). Thanks again.
